I want to buy an air compressor from Machine Mart or similar outlet. I would need to do full panel reprays, and use a variety of air tools. Can anyone please give me guidance on which one to buy, recommendations etc? I plan to buy my set up on saturday to include spray gun, and some other stuff to get started.
Thanks

A small 1.5/2hp 50lt compressor willl struggle to run a DA sander constantly and won't run an air fed mask and a spray gun at the same time.
3hp is about the biggest you can run off a domestic 13amp supply.

Thanks for that, I had a look at the SIP one, looks good. Although My budget stretches only as far as £300. Is a belt drive substantially quieter than direct drive? Also, my garage has a 16A circuit with 13A sockets. Would this compressor be OK? It is 3HP, available at Machine Mart.

If you shop around you can find one with a100ltr tank for under £350.
I paid £340 for my 100 ltr sip, this was from the local tool store.

Well, I will make enquireies, but basically, the one in the link above, available at machine mart will run off a 13A supply? Anyway, i will cal them tomorrow, and also look around in the meantime for a 100L version.
