Right, on my Mini there's no hole in the wing to mount a standard extendable aerial, and I don't want to make a hole in there. I don't want to drill into the roof to mount one there either, for obvious reasons.

I've heard that you can get aerials that have a "suction cup" to go on windows or that have a strong stickypad to stick to the windows/bodywork.

I'm considering getting one of these and possibly putting it on one of the rear opening windows and extending it vertically, and running the wire in through the window or something.

Does anyone know where to get these aerials from?

Does anyone have one fitted or have a picture of one to give me ideas on how to mount (no funny comments please >_< ) ?

Cheers!

Chris

That looks like just what I need, I'm guessing that it's wireless so you plug the base into the back of the stereo and have the actual aerial anywhere you like, and it's wireless between them?

Our Sprite originally had the aerial on the passengers side wing. Decided to move from there and fit a roof mounted one so filled the hole in the wing. Completely forgot to drill a hole in the roof while the screen was out and it was only when fitting the dash and stereo that i realised this. So i took the roof mount aerial and fed it up the inside of the passengers side "A" pillar, connected it to the stereo and now have perfect reception but with no visible aerial.
Not a "stick on" solution but may save you a few quid if you've got a standard aerial kicking around.

Yeah that would be an alternative but I haven't got a standard one lying about.

I just bought the one fishey told me about anyway

Cheers for your help.

This is the aerial I had in my old mayfair, it is stuck on the windscreen just behind the rear view mirror and it worked perfectly. I got it in halfords but I don't know if they still sell them because I bought that one in 1998.
