rite recently brought my mini and have only found a few rust holes, have brought a new pannel for hte rear subframe mounts but the one question i do have is the pannel in the pic which has a arrow to it, what it is as i need to replace it, also is it important or can it just be cut out and left out the only thing i can see that bolts to it is the front bottom seat belt but am having harnesses....

cheers rob

Is that what where the rear bin used to go? I can't picture or remember what it's like.. A bigger picture would help, showing more of the area. I'm sure someone else would know.

The part with arrows is part of the inner sill/floorpan. Not advisable to just cut it out as it providing support for the subframe mounts amoungst other things.
