Fitting Alarm

My first question is does a thatchman approved alarm have to be fitted by an approved auto electricial to be counted under insurance or can I fit it myself.


My second question is what alarm would people recommend. Would be interested in those ones that have the device that sends you a text message if it goes off.

i think with thatcham stuff, you need a certificate for it to conform so you can get a discount, otherwise, the insurance companies don't beleive you lol

TOAD alarms are meant to be good, and they offer SMS alert.
