Have you checked your points and condenser this could cause a missfire if not set up correctly, this may not help if you have an electronic distributorhi, im getting a miss fire once i got over 4k revs, ive re set the timing correctly, cleaned the plugs several times, set the carb properly and its still happening?

i think its a lecy one, how can i check, i didnt change it but the previous owner may have done?
pull off the dizzy cap. if you see a big module with two wires going to it its leccy, If you see a silver battery looking like thing, with a peice of metal with two little plates that open and close then its points and condenser.
