i want to remove my fading mini cooper decal from the back of my cooper.

anyone know what to use to get it off?

i tried peeling it off at one edge but only a small part came off.

i have a mini cooper badge to replace the faded sticker so i want to remove it without damaging or effecting the paintwork and surface.

i used boiling water and poured and rubbed it in with sponges ahen used my fingernails to get them off (dont use any tools, you'll scratch it). You can use that for anything, i did the plastic mini badge and numberplate at the back like that

HI,

Sorry to resurrect this thread but can someone recommend a good way to remove the residue that's left behind after the stickers come off without ruining the paintwork?

Is this one of those things where there's just no substitute for rubbing alcohol and elbow grease of is there a better way?

I took a roof decal off one years ago and used a cloth with petrol!! Was recommended to me and worked a treat.

I used a cloth with petrol as well. The trick is to wet it enough to soften the residue and then wet the cloth again to wipe off the softened residue while it's still soft.
