Hi,
Does anyone know if it is standard to not recieve any of the gear mechanisim with a new wiper motor? i dont want to make a fuss at minispares if it is not meant to come with any of it.

Cheers Matt

Also is there any way of re threading a wiper wheel box? Currently both boxes have stripped threads where the retaining nut connects. Or have i got to buy new ones!!?

I could really do with working wipers with the weather the way it is at the moment!

You can get motors both with and without the drive gear and crank supplied. They should always come with the worm gear but it's quite common to buy one without the drive gear. Normally they only include the gear if you are buying a complete wiper installation kit.

The wheelboxes barely hold a thread in the first place, I doubt you'll be able to re-thread one. I don't know where you'd find a die for it anyway as I seem to remember its an ultrafine pitch which are rare and as such the die would probably cost more than a pair of boxes. Maybe it is a common thread form and I just don't recognise it but I really think you'll find they're more finely threaded than most things are.
