As per my post yesterday, I thought it was the fuse - but I've put a new one in now and it still not working - although I think the wire that was missing the fuse wasn't actually the horn one, as the wire is just purple, whereas the horn 12v+ is a purple wire with a black stripe.

Is the horn fuse one of the one under the bonnet, or is it lurking in the dashboard area somewhere?

The headlight flasher and everything else is working ok - and I'd be surpirsed if the horn unit itself is knackered as it was a new one fitted late last summer.

Is there an intermediate relay or anything that might be kaputt?

I'm going to have a gander with a multimeter at the weekend, but any other suggestions would be welcome.

good point kel,

thats what i would suggest.

Also check your connections on your horn. If you put a multimeter on your horn connections and push your horn switch on the stalk inside the car, you should see voltage there when the horn switch is pushed. This will eliminate fuses / wiring and point towards your horn / connections being faulty. If you dont see voltage, you have a problem elsewhere.

The horn earths directly to the body of the car - take it off and clean up the area to make sure it is earthing well.

Mine was actually grounded to itself, meaning it was grounded to the body of the horn
This caused some problemsin the past, so i took it to a bare metal for ground and problems solved.
