Also the same with mutant headunits. I bought one once and stuck it in a corsa and the sound difference it made to the standard speakers was pretty impressive. But i would like to know what others think of them.
thanks for your time

I remember inphase sponsering some car programmes, and you get it quite abit in things like max power.
anyone else have any opinions about these?

I wouldn't wipe my arse with any of their stuff!
AFAIK, from the same manufacturer as SPLX, and just as low quality!

why not go for an Alpine headunit? quality and clarity is a hell of alot better.
What about pioneer or Kenwood?
I don't want a sony as they don't seem to have much bass.
thanks

up to you really, but im a fan of Alpine after trying and listening to alot of different headunits on the same set-ups,
also depends what you want from the headunit, as bass is alot to do with speakers as it is the headunit.

to be honest kenwood should stick to making food blenders and kitchenware, pioneer and alpine are great makes but the alpine gets my vote every time, inphase and mutant are akin to halfords own "ripspeed" affair, fair enough there cheap but to be honest youd be better off with a standard rover one!! just my 2p worth.
lol, thanks for the advice people

Save your money and invest in decent kit. Got myself a pioneer headunit (cost around £320) and man its quality!!!!!
I just see it that a head unit is supplying the signal to the speakers etc, so if you have a C**p signal being sent down the wires no matter what else you buy, all your kit is only as good as the head unit.
