Hi,

Been doing some serious work to the mini and got her sorted so that she is driveable. The big thing that is letting her down now is the bodywork. Rust has started to develop, and paint started to bubble. Im looking for a decent bodyshop, but have no idea where to go. My friends have recommended different ones and to be honest im slightly scared of potentially paying a lot of money and then being dissapointed with the results! - My mate got his mini completly resprayed and it looks good, but then when you look closely in areas such as gutters and sills you can see paint runs etc which is what i dont want!

I guess I just need to find a good bodyshop, can anyone suggest a place close to me? Im thinking Lowestoft / Yarmouth / Norwich area.

Can anyone else share their stories on the joys of bodywork with me?

I think il be looking at close to £1500 for the work. I need 2 outer sills, probably a scuttle respray, the front drivers side wing respraying, the lower front of the car (around the lights etc) and lower rear of the car (around the lights etc). I also want to get the rust in the roof guttering sorted aswell as this is getting quite bad?

Thanks
Neil

Have you tried AJ's Mini's off the A146?

Or go to www.ajsminis.co.uk for info.

Great guy, very reasonable.

I think if all it honestly needs is what you say, you could get that work and a full repaint for that kind of money... Although prices do tend to be abit more down south...

When theres lots of little areas of repair, its sometimes better to have them done and the whole thing blown over with a fresh coat of paint.
