Last one for now.
This is hopw she looked a few days ago. Since then, I have trimmed all the removed panels up and have them ready for welding in the replacements. I also accidentally won an LCB exhaust and manifold on ebay last night, I thought it would be more than 33quid!!
Oh well, every little horse helps in a 998!

Pickup 76, both sills came away in my hands, one wing was rotten, the OPPOSITE a-panel was gone, and the motor was blown and seized!
Then, I discovered the little trick of NOT leaving your handbrake on for more than a few hours. 3 weeks later, its stuck solid

Well, everything is ready for welding apart from one sill (I am new to this, but not THAT new  ).
I have got the paint ready to re-spray her (Aztec yellow with black bonnet stripes and checker roof). I thought I'd open up the spare engine I have for her, and its SO coked up inside I couldnt believe it was running 4 months ago! So, time for a strip down and re-build.........
May as well get my unleaded and ported head skimmed to put on it at the same time I suppose. Should have my LCB by then!

Looks like you've got it all under control then. Like the sound of the colour scheme and the ported polished head

Got a LOT of work to do still, but I'll get pics of her up as I get nearer finishing!

Isnt it great opening up your "good spare" engine and finding it coked up, with VISIBLE scoring and a huge lip on the bores? Good job I know someone with an engine that I have SEEN running, who is giving it to me for free to make way for his 1380.....]
Bonnet, door and boot have a bottom coat of yellow now!

My cameras knackered
I had to get a mate to use his camera phone and e-mail them to me. I will try and get a few more taken when some more bits are on it!
