Hi-i am just wondering what you guys think is the best stuff to use to paint the inside boot flor and battery box. I have used a wire brush drill attachment to remove the suface rust but there is still paint on the remaining panel sections. Do I need to remove all of the paint to get a half decent finish? I am not really fussed for a perfect finish but dont want to have to do it again soon.
I have got a tin of hammerite and was considering rolling it. Would this be hard wearing enough to not chip and scratch? Do I need to primer before I use Hammerite? Should I apply a couple of thin layers? Should I use a rust preventative prior to painting? How long will it take to dry fully?(I know this depends on how thick I apply it- just a rough guess please)
Sorry for the list of questions.
Cheers Matt

Don't be sorry its a sign of weakness! Only kidding but thats what im told every day :) Anyway rolling hammedrite direct to metal paint would be more than suffcient! I did this too and used standard matt black rattle cans and primerd before hand

hammerite is a very good option even if your using just a brush!
