i think i have a oil leak from where the speedo cable screws in to the speedo drive. is there a oil seal or gasket behind which might need replacing, and am i going to loose all the engine oil if i take it off.

The plate that takes the cable has a seal built into it, if there is a leak then the plate will need changing, with a new gasket.
