this is a post, just to see how many people are looking forward to the new grand theft auto coming out
i read a little review in nuts mag today and it got me thinking
i might actually buy a ps3 to get it,
if there is anybody knows what to expect on the new gta, please tell me about it
and everyone looking forward to the game just drop a little post
just out of curiouscity to see how big this game should be

oooo i cant wait for it, same size map as san andreas, but its one GIANT city, and its gonna be online too! which means there gonna do somin reallly clever, or itll be the biggest online blood bath known to man

I got a short clip of the game late last year and i must say it looked very good indeed, the graphics just keep on getting better and better and the story lines of the characters sounds great....I was thinking the exact same thing trade my old ps2 in for a ps3 just so i can buy gta4 Trailer Here

microsoft will be having a better version then sony,
they have brought a bigger part to licensing it,
so it should be on pc aswell,
but dont hold me to that

The main character's name is Niko Bellic - he is an Eastern European immigrant
Bellic arrives in Liberty City as he has been receiving emails from his cousin, Roman Petronov. At the start of the game, he is the only person you know.
Roman lies to get Niko to come to Liberty City, by telling him he has women, cars and money...he is actually in huge debt. Niko thinks he will live the "American Dream".
The Statue of Liberty is now called the Statue of Happiness, while DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) is known as BOABO (Beneath the Offramp of the Algoquin Bridge Overpass).
Liberty City's similarities to New York are as follows, with 4 of the 5 boroughs being recreated: Brooklyn = Broker; Manhattan = Algonquin; Queens = Dukes; Bronx = Bohan; New Jersey = Alderney
The scale of Liberty City is slightly smaller than San Andreas, except now there are no wasted parts (countryside for example), it is a lot more detailed.
Multiplayer modes in GTA 4 are still to be announced, however, Rockstar have said it won't be a massively multiplayer online game. They are making something interesting, fun and progressive, and which ties in with single player gameplay.
Since it's only New York, there will be no planes in the game which you can pilot. Rockstar want the game to seem realistic. You won't be needing planes.
Pedestrians are a lot more realistic, and do things such as smoke, sit on benches, read, go shopping, eat, and more...
Rockstar have been working very hard on the targeting system - expect it to be a big improvement from previous games.
After the initial loading sequence, there will be no more loading screens to sit through, not even when transitioning between interior and exterior environments
While making the game, Rockstar consulted crime experts and ex-policemen and found that being a criminal is much more difficult now than it was during previous decades, so they have tried to reflect this in the game. Expect to see people getting arrested as the police are a heavy presence.
As Rockstar North are approaching the recruitment of voice actors in a different way. We probably won't hear any recognisable voices in GTA 4 because they are looking for voices that suit the attitude of the characters. This approach is also being carried over to the soundtrack, where R* are looking for music which works well with the modern day Liberty City.

It is implied that the ability to manually aim guns such as a pistol has now been implemented, when Niko pulls out a pistol, the camera will zoom in slightly, and a crosshair fixed to the centre of the screen appears.

isnt prologue a half hearted version of the final project,
i have seen an advert for it i thought it was the final thing being released
gt5 is going to be the mutts nutts
gta and gt are the 2 best games ever made to a console in my eyes

lots of cars, fully online, 360 degree HD photorealistic inside views, ferrari licences, GT TV, lots n lots to keep me amused.
And as for all this xbox havin better versions of GTA4 than sony, bull, like all the bull thats been comin out of xbox bummers until they play on a ps3. My friend traded his xbox 360 in today for a ps3 after playin on mine. People were comin up with all sorts of things why the xbox is better, but...
ps3 comes with wireless inbuilt... xbox you have to buy it
ps3 comes with blueray... xbox only had HD DVD which is now not existant, so a blueray adapter will be £120
ps3 comes with six axis as standard, xbox has nout
ps3 comes with usb rechargable light controllers... xbox has heavy things with AA batteries inside
ps3 is silent... xbox sounds like a train
ps3 has loads of games comin out... xbox also has lots of games but not gran turismo, and never will
ps3 has free online gaming... xbox you have to pay for it
etc etc etc.

i wasnt sayin xbox is better
im a playstation lad all the way, always have been, always will
(appart from when i had a N64 ledgendary)
but sayin all that does kinda make me want to get a ps3 even more,
but i have ministuff to pay for
gt5 and ferraris, what a combination
are they puttin proper minis back in it as well, or do you not know that???

lol. I didnt even pay for mine, got it free with a carphone warhouse phone contract! ive just been sayin what i have experienced first hand, aint been reading into anything. Think their focusing on supercars etc more though to be honest, and IMO games are about doin things you couldnt do in real life! got a mini in real life got a ps3 for ferrari's lol!
after playin on gran turismo HD (a game released for free online download on the ps3, with the handling of the new game but nout much else) its soooo different. Set up is the same (little number sayin what gear, speedo, basic stuff that makes it gran turismo! its easily recognisable, but the handling, omg! its weirdly like driving a real car, lets face it, gt4 and all below didnt exactly handle like cars, too much electronic assist even when turned fully off, but the physics in this game now is just unbelievable. Soooooo good, you can just balance a car sideways round corners etc. yum yum yum, cant wait. Gotta get a new clutch main cylinder seal kit first though =p

once mini is not to bad looking, ps3 (gta4 and gt5 will blatenly be out by then) so i know what i will doing

I had a 360 for about a month... and sold it 
didnt like it, was ok... but got bored
then went back to my pc gaming.
recently got a PS3.
and its good to be back with the old playstation pad!
cant wait till GTA IV but.... cant wait till this friday also GT baby!!!
I need to get a PlaySeat so I can use my G25 wheel to its full potential.
cant wait to play it all on my 40incher
didnt like it, was ok... but got bored
