my engine did
I was doing just under 7,000rpm 2nd gear, leaveing a roundabout, about to go past a Ford Escort RS2000 (late model) when all of a sudden...................
3 pistons on my engine
Still, it was a knacked engine when I bought the car 2 years ago, & whilst I don't give it grief all the time, I do give it 6,000 to 7,000 down country lanes and roundabouts, especially if something thinks it fast, just to teach em a lesson
I ordered a 1380 Trackday engine off of Simon (Morspeed) in November so that will be going in, running a 3.9FD. According to the spec it should rev to 8,000rpm.
Only one way to find out

Well I ordered it in November but the 'box is still not built, but I phoned him on Tuesday & explained its my only form of transport to/from work so would need it quite soon
Picking up a custom loom on Sunday at Stoneleigh Kit Car Show, then its rip the old loom out, fit new loom, fit new digi dash in, new starter motor etc etc etc & thats just to get it running again.
Whilst the engine/box is out I will fit new discs/pads whilst their
Time limit? Fast as possible!

It was fine the week before when I ragged it against a bike  Nearly crashed into a wall as I left the roundabout (the bike was on my inner line) which made me "GULP" but the bike owner was impressed, I left infront of him

Have you got your car in the projects section or anywhere else Smudger, because I would sure love to see photos of it and read the spec.
