Hi all, I'm looking for a primer that will go over an old chrome grille. Will etching primer? I just want to be sure really, as I'm thinking of painting over the worn chrome on my grille, as rechroming is too expensive, and bead blasting wont rid me of the chrome...

Bead/shot blasting will give the chrome a good key for the primer to bond.Hi all, I'm looking for a primer that will go over an old chrome grille. Will etching primer? Or powder coated finish maybe.

flat the chrome with 320 wet and dry (wet) then use etch primer then normal primer over the top.
