Rite i have a small piece of dynmat 18x18" and a set of the speaker extreme packs, and just want to know where this will be most affective.
I have a 10" 250 rms pioneer sub in the boot, 6x9's in speakerboard and 5" 45rms jbl's in front fiberglass door pockets. Im thinking big sheet on the inside of the boot lid or something and small speaker pack for 6x9's as the speakers in the front pockets don't atually go into the doors. Or would I be best putting the big sheet aroung the sub itself and then putting acoustic carpet over the top.
Also ive read that fitting a little bit of insulation or something in the sub box will make it sound a bit better?
sound deadening!

Not overly convinced an 18x18 sheet is going to make that much difference.. but somewhere which may be worth considering if you are mounting a sub, is the back of the rear seat.
Personally, I'd be sticking it on ebay, selling it for as much as possible and by a few rolls of flashing with the proceeds and covering the inside of the car with it..
old thread.... clicky

you want to be putting sound deadening anywhere that is flat for over a few square inches, as these are the places that resonate most, usually rear quarters and inside the front doors
put it on the floorpan if you want to get rid of as much road noise as possible too
if you manage to get enough, just do everywhere
