That's a Rokee type dash and to make one you need to be able to steam press plywood to shape.

I don't think that the plywood is folded. It's rather shaped. Look on this photo: :D

There is more thickness at the curvature. But maybe that I make a mistake...

Look on this photo:

Don't really need to mate, My Grandad worked at Rokee and I went to the factory many times. I know perfectly well how they are made (and it is not sticky back plastic, it's steam pressed real wood veneer). My Grandad was the only veneer matcher at Rokee for many, many years and probably made that very dash.

im telling you someones covered that in sticky plastic im not blind! theyve covered the dash rail in the same stuff.... sort of gives it away id say.
now the dash underneath that vile sticky stuff... thats most likely your rokee with what was probably a beautiful veneer at one time, im not disputing that fact at all.
you got me a bit wrong... what i meant was i reckon that ebay guy could knock one up in that fashion.
Im right about that plastic though... thats obvious when the pics enlarged as the plastics peeling revealing the backing and theres lots of airbubbles.

nono... that second one is definately not sticky plastic. I do think the ebay guy could knock one up though, wood veneer is quite cheap nowadays.
