Hi all,
I've never been in a bike powered Mini let alone a FWD version, but I'm thinking of converting a car for my next project with the pro-motive kit. I just wanted some truthful driving reports for road cars.
So basically:
Power delivery?
Torque steer?
Driveability?
Around town?
Motorways?
Acceleration?
Top Speed?
Clutch feel?
Gear Changing?
Fuel Economy?
Range?
Overtaking Times?
0-60 times?
Noise levels?
Vibration?
Engine life?
Engine braking?
Engine temperature?
Clutch life?
Servicing costs?
Cheers.

I've been in my mates lee mini with the first pro motive kit and well i'll try answer.
Power delivery - very responsive and very quick
Torque steer - a bit, get a friendly diff
Driveability
Around town - ok, bitey clutch, responsive throttle seems always on edge not the best i'd say but dam fun
Motorways - spoke to him this morning and he said it seemed ok, although has got to sort rad heating issues out.
Acceleration - super super scarily fast.....but sooooooo much fun
Top Speed - well depends on gearing really and ring size.
Clutch feel - bitey
Gear Changing - very fast, sounds cool down shifting
Fuel Economy - who knows he hasn't got a gauge
Range - depends how far the petrol stations are apart.
Overtaking Times - faster than most cars to be honest its a little rocket.
0-60 times - if you can get the power down pretty quick i'd say but he is running 10's atm.
Noise levels - his is a racer with no sound proofing and lets just say def people can hear it when sitting inside its pretty noisy but then again, its sooo much fun so who cares
Vibration - not much really considering its solid mounted. well balanced bike engine for you i guess
Engine life - how longs a peice of string?
Engine braking
Engine temperature - about 100-110 i think but peaked at 124 on motorway the other day. as said WIP being fixed.
Clutch life this really does depend on the condition of your engine to begin with plus there pretty new doubt anyone knows.
Servicing costs - free., he's a bike machanic and is a dab hand and fixing things.
hope thats helped
