will putting 13x7 or 13x6 on my mini which has 12x4.5 at the moment mean that my accelaration and top speed will be reduced sagnificantly.. i have got sportpack arches on and i dont really think 12s look good under them in fact thay look rediciously small i was going to buy 13x7 ultralite extreme but after reading some posts im not so sure. would 12s with spacers look ok or would they still look to small.

help greatly appreciated

thanks

It will affect your acceleration and top speed but not enough to actually be noticeable.

depends what you want, good looks and rubbish handling,or smaller wheels that look silly under posepack arches,i personaly prefer the fat wide look that 13s give a mini.

There a plenty of people running 12"s under fatpack arches, its the width and ride height not the radius of the wheel that is the issue in my opinion. Having a sportspack on Rover 13"s I can tell you the ride aint fantastic

12" under gp 2 race arches from minisport are mint, handle very very well, had 12x5 before, 12x6 made such a difference. Fill out the arches well. But in my oppinion, i think 13 inch take over the mini a bit. 12" rim are just nice, good acceleratioin, good top speed, mint handelling, look brilliant.

loooovvveeely, lol! :shifty:

your askin basically for half an inch each side, bad difference to handling, bling difference to looks... not my thing! 12"... and your speedo's more accurate to the original setting

I know not everyone will agree, but even 10" wheels can work under Sportspack arches.

yes, from mini's with 13" wheels ive driven, the only mini's that work with 13" wheels (IMO... as ever) are zcars minis. They look good because the whole mini's tryin to be something different

my 2 pence!

13" I find that it makes the steering heavy for parking or the turn in the rd. As for the handling i dont notice much difference really its still handles the corners great :shifty:

Ive just changed my 13 s to 12s the 13s looked good with sport arches but the handling was C**p and you needed arms like Arnie to turn the steering wheel i have just swaped them for 12s now its a different ball game the handling is great and the cars faster ill never go back to 13s ,but its up to t he indervidual but now i have to change the arches i bought some wp arches but the prob now is the wings were cut in the front to get 13s in so now i have to weld lips on to the wing to put the arches on .

13'' wheels, for some unknown reason make a little twitchy at the rear,
i was with my mate in his and he had almost cured it by putting grippier tyres on the back then the front

i have also seen 10'' under sportpack arches in my opinion they look way better then 12'' under sportspack,
but 13s look best of all, just handle poorly

if i could do a 10'' wheel conversion for cheap, they would be on running no arches,
if i got tugged for it then it would be my hard luck but it would be worth

anyways theres my views

id go for 13x7s, i love my deep dishs, i was also sixs' and sevens' bowt whether i should get 13s but im glad i did. minis handling are exceptional anyway so i dont see the big proble. ye u av to cut away the front arches abit and they wear the wheel bearings out quicker but thats a sacrifice im willing to pay.
