i would like to know what sort of power to expect from a turbo rover cooper spi or a supercharged one.

I would personally just start with a turbo engine as they are built for the job. You could turbo your engine but chances are it wont last long you would have to bin the spi injection and fit a turbo carb and plenum along with the turbo and manifolds and exhaust. as far as figures all depends on boost levels intercooling and speck of engine.
