You can get flipfronts with the A-pannels attached might be a good idea for you

deseaming would mean doing the whole car and carnt be ars@d with that (although does look good) as regards one with an apanel built in how do i hide the fasteners then and how will they apanel pas the door as it travels forward

i dont like to see a big join or gap in the apanel wing mount so want it to look as standard as possible

will probably do it in steel and figure out the mounting as i go along

has anyone done a steel flip front

Most of the fiberglass fronts (with a panels) dont have the seam check out www.tdkracing.co.uk/www.asbmotorsport.co.uk for prices ect.. The quality from abs and tdk are very good and alignment is good aswell but with all fiberglass front you will have to do quite a bit of trimming etc.. as no mini's are exactly the same shape.

heres a pic of one with A panels: Posted Image

I know minivanman has done a steel flip front on his van, have a look on complete mini rebuild on page 3 theres some info in his thread mate or you could pm him.

Use steel panels and turn it into a flip front that way.

If your wanting a flipfront that looks like original, you'll never be happy with a fibreglass one as they never quite look or fit right.

The price of 2 A panels, wings and a front panel isnt much more than a plastic front anyway!

cheers all steel front it is i will weld brackets to the back of the wings and a panels and bolt it behind so i can still fit a complete arch (dont like wheel arches cut in the middle as they never look to line up) and can then place the metal seam trim back over.

has anyone done it like this

i have a flipfront made from steel panels, worked out just as cheap to do it steel, as it was to do it fibreglass but you get a better finish :dontgetit:

mine is held to whats left of the inner wings by little latches, they also hold the a panel and wing together :P the front is held to the subframe using 2 garden gate hinges, 5monies from homebase... works a treat.

this is where mine started to shape up flipping wise

I was wondering if anybody had a picture of a flip front with the A panels attached kinda like the picture. I want to see how it would flip with the A panels. Also would you flip it up or forward
