Nice build, The thing you are asking about is accualy the waterpump for the car, you can take it off and just block it off with a plate or use it as the waterpump for the car. The eaton is not watercooled it just has oil in the gears behind the pump.

cheers Willy SA, does it have a good egnough capacity to do a highly tunned classic mini engine. would be neet to get rid of the water pump and plate that over. How would you pipe it up to get good flow around the block.

Well i guess that if it works for a 125kw Cooper S it would probably work for a classic mini. And if you think of blanking off the old pump, i guess you can do it, just make sure about the flow of both pumps and also the flow direction of the whole system. would love to see this done. (It must be possable and the same as fitting a electrical pump).

Well its been a while since i did much to the mini, poor thing is sat at the back of the garage been on with two things really. So mine has taken a back seat first job is still on with the house upgrade updating the kitchen fitting new interior doors and carpet so all money has been gone, however in payment for doing the joinery ive been working on Shazminibeasts mini. Been a fun ride with highs and lows

we have

fitted rear lights back on as they had been smoothed
fitted boot hinges as they had been smoothed
new petrol tank and welded filler inside the boot.
new wiring loom (full)
door solenoids into the doors (smoothed off external door)
Lots and Lots of welding
Put the rear cage back in
fitted the BINI seats you saw at the beginning of the thread (so damn comfy its untrue)
new steering column and Key switch
New fuse box
new gauges
new dash
rebuilt the front subframe with new boots
Fitted a turbo bulkhead box
then fitted a turbo setup
welded up the exhaust
MOT
then Blew it up (head gasket)

so were just waiting on some parts and then hopefully back on the road

You have gone away from the blow through supercharger then?

Are you going to get back to it or go for the turbo option? Can I ask why? As I am going to be going for a blow through on my project... when i get it started.
