I have been offered a delloroto carb and was wondering if I have to weld a box into the bulkhead to accomodate the carb?
If so, is there a way around this?

Thanks, Robbie

You can use a "swan neck" inlet which has all the flow of a dead pidgin.

Or downdraft (through bonnet) think you need specific ones for that. Or the box, you can just use a battrie box.

down draugh IDA weber...rather rare (as oposed to the fake rear thats on e-gay) found often on VW things (not that often) so a custom manifold would be required and defence against carb icing because the manifolds are exposed to moving air past

its not designed to stick through the bonnet, its designed to sit horizontally rather than vertically, so no, not really, 2-3 hours to cut and weld in a box, give a quick prime and spray and you're done, MORE POWER  less fuel in your tank though lol!
