right, had problems with turbo cutting out so it hadnt realy been run, got tips of you guys how to stop it cutting out so thats sorted. so the engine builder took it out on its first run on boost. firstly it pis*ed oil out of the dipstick hole, fitted a tighter one so thats sorted, but the big problem is its breathing loads out of the rocker cover, (oil fumes) when the caps on the rocker cover it all comes out of the exuast.
not the head gasket dont think its not bubbling the rad up. oh yer it also blew up the heater matrix.

like i say please help!!!

also l2b ticket for sale! £25

whooosh.... not that I know too much about turbos, but what it sounds like is the forced inducation is getting blown past the piston rings into the crank case...

I'd be getting you engine builder to strip the engine back down...

I'm fairly sure even turbo's arn't meant to P oil out the dipstick

i know naff all about the turbo part of it but it sounds a lot like excess crankcase pressure, make sure its adequately vented ie enough vents and theyre not blocked. could also maybe be head gasket if as guessworks says pressure is seeping out of combustion chambers and pressurising crankcase and cooling system (hence blown matrix).

and i know things can get really stressful when stuff like this happens but just take a breather and chill, ive lost count of number of times ive come across a problem that seems insurmountable but has finally been overcome. just takes time and patience and itll be worth it in the end.

they guy took it for a spin and fryed the rings if you ask me, he might not of driven it slow till it all got warm, this could have done it, and so could raging the dingaling of it!

There's no way you should be getting that much blow by. Were the pistons/rings new ? probably damaged a ring when fitted, or may have nipped a ring, were they gapped properly ?
You will get some blow by to begin with until the rings seat properly but not to that extent.
Hope you sort it.

Phil.

Nothing - get the monkey who screwed it up to pay for a new one, other that that any 1275cc a+ block should be OK
