anybody any idea what to expect from my turbo project its a 1293 metro turbo engine with avonbar phase 2 cam its fully rebuilt all new parts with standard diff got a dump valve fitted running a stadard boost on turbo and 10 inch rims its really light weight fully stripped out just two seats and a cage fibreglass front and boot perspex windows and beam axel on back so any one no how fast it should be as i aint got a clue so all i want is it to beat my mates 306 gti6 on a 1/4mile as he thinks minis are slow

i wouldn't recommend using it in anger with a standard diff

probably looking at 100-110 horse i'd say so 16ish second quarter at a guess. thats just based on mine running 120hp and full road weight a couple of years ago.

My mate has a 1293 with uprated turbo same cam I think and an intercooler .
It usually blows the head gasket after a couple of runs as he keeps turning the boost up.
Anyway, it has run 15s and he was hoping to get in the 14s next time it runs. He has a 3.4 diff by the way.
Only problem is traction Wheelspin in third !!!
