Why did you stop playing ??? lol. Dont give up, find another teacher and learn learn learn. There is nothing better than performing in a band, in front of a few thausand people ! If you know what your playing and when your supposed to play it, its a great feeling !!! i find that when i play at gigs, i forget everything else going on in my life, and its just such a fantastic feeling. Now i sound like an EMO but still.
Take my advice !

i love led zeppelin.
i have always been sort of against the idea of seeing a tribute band because led zep were (although i have never seen them, too young really, but i have dvds) one of if not the best live band ever, and tributes i reckon have one hell of a job replicating that!
there is one that plays in my area sometimes called Boot Led Zeppelin...

Well, alltough known as a tribute, the Music does not have to be excactly perfrect, its the bands interpretation of what they see the music to be. I do see your point though, when covering such a big band, you have to get every note right, or the audience will start to loose interest.

Goodness I hate you Meglawotsit! I was gutted when I didn't get a ticket, even drove to the Dome and sat outside sulking....................

But I have decided to break my vow of not bothering to make do with tribute bands and I now have tickets for Letz Zep, I'm looking forward to it. Just hoping that Robert Plant and Co decide to do a couple more concerts in the future.

They certainly are good, I've seen them a couple of times now and will probably see them again.

A couple of nights ago I went to see Led Zepp Too who were playing in Kent, they were ok but not a patch on Letz Zep; well in my opinion they weren't! although I was there with a couple of musicians who seem to think they were really good lol!

I did enjoy "Jimmy Page" playing the Theramin though.
