Door Gap

i have no a panels on my mini at the min and started fitting them today i was just wondering how big the door gap should be are we saying enough to fit a coin in or more?

i was workin on the mini today and just couldnt remeber how big the gap was before i looked through magazine and stuff but they just dont seem to help.Anyone?

Enough for for the door to open, plus thickness of any filler, primer paint.

Then you want a nice even gap all the way around pretty much.

They vary from car to car.

Ideally the gap should be even all the way round. You sometimes need a bigger gap at the A panel end, to clear the thickness of the panel, if it's been replaced badly or filled etc.
