Has anyone had one of specialist components engines fitted or know of anyone that has one fitted? I've been looking at their website and apparently they do fully built engines but I cant see them anywhere. I'm interested in the conversion somewhere in the future but would prefer a whole new engine as mine on its last legs. also, does anyone know if it would be a straight engine swap or would bodywork need to be changed?

cheers

I have one of their engines, wasn't built for me but was in John's (SC Bloke) own car

Depends on spec level if things need to change, ie front red or side rad standard water pump or electric etc etc but the bonnet on a roundnose def needs to be adjusted on the cross brace underneath (mine didn't due to different subframe but that's another thing altogether) and the bonnet catch on a roundnose dont still fit either.

you can get a fibre glass bonnet from KAD with a "power bulge" that allows the fitting of a taller engine, they look pretty cool, or you might get away with using a single skin fibreglass item

standard bonnet fits over the morspeed variant fine - no modifications required , but you do have to loose the bonnet latch for air and throttle cable clearances, and notch a couple of small areas for hose clearances at the front right hand side. :xxx:
