its good at small areas of surface rust to make sure its clean etc, but if youre using it on excessive rust then its not really much cop. good for making sure the last of the little bits of rust on the metal are gone after cleaning it up though!

It's ok, but a lot of money for what you are effectively getting. It's dilute phosphoric acid - the same stuff as in Cola and Cillit Bang.

Much better to go to your local farm supplier and get a gallon of "Milkstone Remover" for about 11 quid then water it down 4:1 to dunk in parts to clean the rust off overnight or paint on direct to stabilise rust. It's also an etchant, so gives a really good key for paint on bare metal.

Wear gloves and goggles, this stuff is a lot stronger than the Halfords version.

I've used Granville heavy duty rust cure before, its non toxic and turns the rusted areas black, works very well

I've used Kurust which is the same kind of stuff. Mainly on my petrol tank i was given.

pretty rusty to start, sanded it down, then coated it in kurust.

After the kurust done it's business and tank flattened back again.

And then painted with no signs of rust.
