hi everyone,
i really want a mini and have about 3000 for it. i was wondering how much would it cost for me to take it to a garage and get all the major kinks straightened out.....these would be,

sorting out any rust problems
maybe a new engine if the mini i buy is high milage
clutch


i need the car to be fairly reliable as i will be using the motorway roughly once every two weeks.

to be honest mate, u should be able to find a near enough perfect one for 3000, if i was you i would buy a more expensive perfect one rather than a cheaper one that needs some repair

i agree with the guy above and motorway wont hurt it at all just make sure to get a 1.3 other wise you will be as slow as a snail. my 1.3mpi mini handles motorway trips from oxford to wales and back again and me ragging the hell out of it with no problem obveiously im going to ahve to start checking stuff and maybe replacing a few little but its a price i pay for haveing fun if your being sensible you will be fine

im selling my mini its a mini cooper mpi 98 ideal for motorway its on ebay 2 days to go im selling it for 2800 its well worth it i cant believe it has,nt gone yeat 2 days to go.
