my current block it pretty rusty, greasy, etc (stripped down) at work i have acess to acid dip and shot blasting, but afraid it might damage everything.

so, whats the best way to do it

pop it in the acid dip but not for too long. then blow out the oil ways.

gives a nice finish to paint onto.
