well didn't get much done today as i'm not feeling 100% (prob around the 40% mark) but i did manage to get the brace bars fitted and bolted on fully so now I can move him around to get a little more space.

No pics today but if the weather is ok i'll pull him out of the garage tommorow when i finish work. Should get some better pics then.

It certainly has, unfortunatly a shortage of money has put a temp hold on it, Unless anyone has a spare front end. Plus i'm of to afghanistan in 4 weeks (which will help the money problem) It's pretty much ready for the front end. Just gotta take the a panels off now and get the doors re skinned.

Any help with the re skinning would be a great help.

Gonna get the a panels off later so will take some pics.

Looks like you need new rubber doughnuts to me, unless you have hi-lo's and they're wound down.

Does anyone know if you can get a repair panel for said hole above?? Or would it be easier just to patch it up?

Somerford minis sell pretty much all the panels i think. Might be worth having a look on their site to see if you can get them.

No probs mate, it might be called a flitch panel aswell bud. I'm not 100% sure on that though so it's probably worth checking with someone on that.

Edit: Just looked on somerford site and it looks like an inner wing assembly panel ya will need. Best give them a ring, they'll be more than willing to help.

You can get that as a repair panel, but it’s the hinge and inner wheel arch/flinch, normally about £15, although personally you’ll be better off cleaning up the surrounding area with a drill/grinder and a wire brush attachment to find the true extent of the rot and making up a template from card (easier and cheaper if you mess up) and then transfer that to a peace of steel and weld in place.

And by the looks of it the front dounts have had it, they only really last 10 years or so before they sag.

Thank you so much for your reply, was hoping someone would come up with a sensible idea.

I thought as much about the doughnuts.
