Well the story so far,
I have picked up my front from TDK, Daves service was fantastic as always. Got the front end home and it was a fantastic fit and needs minimal triming. A credit to Dave at TDK and his love for minis as the products he is pushing out are brilliant. Highly reccomended to everyone.
The doors are off waiting to be reskinned.
I've got a nice pay packet comint through as I have got my tax back for when I was in afghanistan so i'm pricing up suspension at the minute but i can't get on the minitastic website so I think the coil springs will end up coming from minispares.
I'm picking up a new engine in Jan thanks to Flat_Eric. Although that will be another project page.
I have photos but as i'm at work you will have to wait till tonight,
Ginger_Monkey, going to need to arrange a loan of your welder. What shift are you on over XMAS??

Been out to the garage and started doing a little trimming, It now sits at the right height against the wing so I think the next job is to get the hinges fitted at the front so I can see where and how much it still needs trimming.
Then onto patching up the flitch panel and fitting doorskins.

Next job is trimming and filing the other end so it fits nice against the flitch panel. Then get on with some welding.

been out in the garage again today, managed to get the front meeting the flitch panel well enough that i'm happy with it.
Also, since i didn't have any metal to make brackets for the dzus fasteners, I thought i would put his face back together.

Looks like a mini again. I still have a lot of work to do but its slowly coming together.
Thanks for all the comments left, I know i'm not doing anything new (yet) but its still nice to know what other people think.

When you think it will be all done and dusted by?

I've set the target as the Riv Run, Its quite a way off yet but I have a 2 month detachment away early next year.
To get it ready I need to finish off the front end,
Do all the wiring for the lights
clean up and weld the flitch panels
Find somewhere to put the washer bottle
Re skin both doors
and replace all the suspension.
Oh then get it through an MOT.
