well the project has stalled while I'm an detachment with work (yet again) all the bits I need to rebuild the suspension have arrived at home, I have a welder organized that i can have for as long as I need it and the promise of help from a mini nutter in swindon (cheers Al)

So hopefully come the end of the month there should be lots of pics and hopefully a report that Roadie has passed his MoT. Needs to be done for the Riv Run.

well thanks to MiniMadJonsey its back on its boots, suspension all fitted (pics to follow) The car has been inspected and all the holes found (we think) so on with the marathon of welding. Hopefully get it MoT'd sometime during the week and fingers crossed will be in it for the Riv Run.

Well first off, thanks for the comments guys, Nice to know what people think and have a bit of encouragement now and again.

Spent a few hour in the garage, would have pulled an all nighter but have an appointment in the morning so really need some sleep,

First pic of the pigeon poop for you all...

Its the only pic I could get as it was too dark by the time I had finished all the other stuff.

Well the main Job tonight was to get the arches on, and I have to say i'm dissapointed. I spent the extra to get genuine W&P arches and they were a terrible fit, only 1 of the 4 has fitted properly, but at least t hey are on and it's something I can always improve in the future.

the list is getting shorter, woohooo

Cheers mate,

Well its been what I class as a successful day.

the list now looks like this

Fit washer bottle
Fit horn
Fit side repeaters
sort out clocks and re-fit dash
weld in brackets for bonnet pins.
fit bonnet
fit bonnet trim

even did a few other jobs, fitted my solid subframe mounts and while I was doing it I found that the shell where the drivers side subframe mount was corroded to hell, cue the grinder and welder. Welded all that up (which was fun as I ran out of gas towards the end)

So like I say, all in all a good day. Just sat indoors sorting the clocks out now.

How do you like my new water bottle bracket...

Yeah, that will all be checked tomorrow when I get it running again. Don't know where to take it, don't really want to drive it too far as its sorn at the min, but don't really know any local guys that are sensible with classics.
