Don't know what made me think of it, but today I recalled a mini clubman that was features in CCC mag yonks ago.

The car in question was a clubman fitted with the front subbie and engine out of a lancia.

It had a weird sumo look to it as the front wheels were about a foot wider than the rears

The resulting creation was called the mincea?

Anyone remember this, what happened to it?

No reason, just curious as it was quite bizzare

its exactly how you remember it because its been garaged and unused with no MOT, lol! he welcomes people round to MOT it for him but cant be bothered i guess (reading his site). Also he started a project called mincia II which used not a lancia beta tuned to 154bhp as in this one but a 2l twincam turbo out of a intergrale :shy:! more like it =p

Me too :-)

I also think that it's looking better with age. I remember thinking how awesome it was when I first read about it, some things never change eh?

It's the BMW E30 M3 with the TVR/Rover V8 fitted that sticks in my mind...

Loved CCC magazine, I used to have the centrefolds plastered on my bedroom walls when I was about seven, proper rally car porn, RIP, at least it spawned MiniWorld...
