but the EK9 type r is the oldest one and is a 1.6, the far sexier and my ex, the EP3, has the same 2ltr as in the current FN2. there are differences between JDM (japanise domesic market(jap imports)) models across the range, incl LSD's, ECU's and injectors.
edit:
i'm still on there from time to time. my name... well, lil dan of course. lol

I'm on www.itr-dc2.com, but have a look on www.itr-dc5.com for the latter model.
Again, there are the UKDM and the JDM models.

also you have the Integra Type R, both the DC2 and the DC5. The dc2 has a B18C engine (1.8), and the dc5 has a K20A (2ltr).

thats right because the DC5 has the same core engine as the EP3 but with uprated ECU, LSD, injectors etc and puts out the power like the JDM EP3

I'm a Honda boy, but some of your numbers are wrong there mate. For the mini conversions where frames are freely available they are all based on the B-series engine
B16A1 - 1595cc 150 bhp vtec fitted to Civics and CRX
B16A2 - 1595 160 bhp vtec fitted to Civics and CRX
B16B - 1595 180 bhp vtec fitted to JDM Civic Type R (pre the Civic type Rs available in UK)
B18C4 - 1797cc 194 bhp vtec fitted to DC2 ITRs
The B16B has 185bhp and comes in the EK9 CTR
The B18C4 has 170bhp which comes in the MB6 5 door Civic
The B18C6 comes in the DC2 ITR's and makes 190bhp, but the JDM ITR has the block labelled just B18C
what years do i need to look for the B16a/b?
For the B16's, i'd say look for one from 1992 through 2000, and the B16B only comes in 1996 through 2000. The only differences in the years SHOULD be the OBD wiring loom. I would say skip the B16 though, and go for a B18C4, they usually cost the same or a little more, and the main benefit from it is the extra torque of the bigger displacement.
