Plenum Chamber

Does the plenum chamber have to have a certain volume inside? As i am making my own.

There's a rule of thumb that says it should be about 1.5 times the engine cc. Obviously British Leyland took no notice of this. So i wouldn't worry to much, but i wouldn't make it any smaller than the Metro one.

just make sure you have a look inside a std one and take note of the size of the restrictor ring fitted and copy it over onto your home made one else you'll have major issues getting it running right.
