I am currently driving a 1.3 mpi, but also have a newly rebuilt metro turbo lump sat in my garage. What would need doing in order to fit this turbo lump into my mpi mini?
Want to try and get a list together of absolutely everything that needs doing.

well youd have to sack the entire mpi engine part for starters, and convert half the electrics back to pre 96 , thats not to hard ,
your alarm and immob wouldnt work due to having no ecu (MEMS system) is it not worth adding to your mpi engine ? rather than swapping them over?

Yea not fussed about immobilliser n alarm. Well its just i dont see the point adding to the mpi because i have a rebuilt turbo lump sat in the garage. Also dont fancy shedding out loads of money for an aftermarket ECU if i decided to turbo the mpi engine

You would need to weld in a turbo bulk head box unless using a fancy manifold and covert the wiring back pre 96...

The turbo lump will allow you to avoid the tougher emissions standards for your car: provided you can prove its age. It's probably worth the effort for that alone if you are looking for more power than an MPI can produce in fairly standard trim.

easier and cheaper to sell the MPI and buy another mini and shove the turbo motor in that.

miniboo why would it be easier and cheaper? If its only a case of welding in the bulkhead box and converting the wiring loom, then i couldnt imagine it would be that hard or expensive?
