Alrite mate,

In my opinion lol,

I would say judging by the picture there the panels look a tad tatty in terms of the rear arch and possibly the rear panel.

The way I would take back to bare metal if you don’t have a DA sander is get a wire fitment to go onto your grinder would recommend wearing something down were your crown Jules are because the wire has a tendency to come off in any direction (wear PPE by the way)

As its a bare shell you could also get it bead blasted or I believe acid dipped not sure on that but my original way is my method.

Then you can see exactly what your up against as its most probably got some rust covered in filler lurking under there some were lol lol.

Hope this helps

Kind regards

Brad

Hey,

When i did my first restoration it was on my front drive and i made up a temporary unateactive gazibo out of toapolin which my neighbours loved lmao but if its your house then u can answer to yuor neighbours with the following idea but if its yuour parents house id recomend a push up gazibo will cost around £40 and a good size toapolin to cover.

So long as the car is covered well you will be ok seeing as its covered even if it rains you'll be ok

The only down fallis that there is moisture in the air but alot of people complain about this but if its bare metal your only going to get light surface rust whcih is easily sanded down before your first cote of etching primer on a nice day of course.

Hope this helps dont be put off working on your drive it is hard but the rewards when you have the finished article well worth it.

Kind regards

Brad

If the cars taken back to bare metal you can't just stick a tent over it and think its ok. Theres moisture in the air that'll cause mild steel to rust.

Any bits you do take back to bare metal - Repair them - then get some primer/paint over them to protect them abit. Then once its ready to be sprayed all this primer and paint can be taken off and the car resprayed properly.
