Evenin' I'm currently looking for a project for my final year at uni (next year) and had a bit of an idea involving the weber manifolds. Basically i was wondering if there was a manifold available (apart from the swan neck type, which aren't all that great ) that enables a weber 40/45 dcoe to be fitted without bulkhead mods, but that doesnt impare performance?? I was basically thinking i could develop a manifold that does this, as it could be a very popular item if it works!!!
So was wondering a) if theres anything about that already does this, or
b) would it even be possible

Thanks in advance

no i wouldnt be possible. DCOE's must be mounted at 90 degrees to the engine, and the difference in distance between the inlet ports (width) and the distance between the 2 chokes on the weber has to be accounted for. Also, it has to clear the middle exhaust manifold.

Not possible im afraid.

still a bit of a swan neck though isnt it, absolutely ******* torque. And you cant get a good filter with good ram pipes on, thus... your better off with an SU.

All manifolds will have a slight swan neck, I had over 140 bhp with the 3.5", shows its very good indeed. I now have 5". Torque is the same, but bhp is higher now
