Hi,

Anyone done this? I know this probably sounds like i'm a complete idiot but i'm not (honestly lol!). Thing is i've done loads of spraying from cans before, and find that metallic colours are really easy to spray, especially dark colours. I've done the usual side skirts, spoilers etc before and i've even done a door and a wing on previous cars which a man on horseback would never know! I can actually spray very well for an amateur with a proper compressor and gun (my mates dad used to have one in his garage) but i dont have the space of facilities where i live to own one at the moment (

I was looking at my mini and thinking that theres no really large areas, i mean yeah the front door but then this is only prehaps 1m^2 in total and not completely out of the question. Bootlids, bonnet etc are not large either...

Just wondering thats all as i want to keep the car blue but i'm going to just go with a "modern" car metallic blue, maybe the BMW mini blue?

Regards,

Matt.

Hmmm. not really,.. Rattle cans can be used perfectly and Can give a showroom finish if you put the time in. For instance... This is my car Rattle canned with Vermillion Red: Both nwings and the edge of the bonnet are rattle can jobs ;D

You don't get a strained wrist if you relax when you use them, people press really hard on the plunger without realising, or you could get a £10 gun attachment that gives you a trigger type action like a normal spray gun.. they fit all rattle cans (generally)

Try a search too... you'll find lots of threads with pictures etc of rattle canned cars. Easy as Pie.
