What Do I Take To My Mot?

Hey,

Ive got my MOT this afternoon, just wondering what I need to take? Just my old MOT certificate? Oh and the car obviously! :ermm:

Nothing but the car!

You can take your old certificate if the previous MOT has not expired and then they will start the new certififcate from the end of the old certificate.

If the chasis number is not very legible then it can be an idea to take an old MOT or the log book so they can view the number easily.

Yep, that's about it... I didn't even take the old MOT cert to mine.
Although I DID take my wallet... just aswell really, it cost £150.
Hope your's goes better tho' mate

The garage is just down the road, so im gonna drive her down then walk back! They said it should only take an hour! :thumbsup: I dont want to stay and listen to them over revving her :thumbsup:

So do I need my V5? I'm at my boyfriends and its at home. :wub:

Depends on your last test, if that was done on the supa dooper computerised system you shouldn't need any docs. Yo don't actually get an MoT certificate any more just a receipt: your test result goes straight on the DVLA computer.

no you dont need your v5 and its optional if you take your old mot unless as already mentioned you still have mot remaining on current certificate, in which case they will start it from the date it runs out.

Ooh, really? I got an actual certificate in March. Maybe they don't have a fancy pooter at the garage :thumbsup:
