Hi all
.... its a question i was just wanting to see if anyone could answer. What is the best filler to use that will be least likely to crack?
I herd SMC by Upol was a great filler to use is this correct?Or is there a filler that will be better or more suited. I have alot of filler work to do where new pannels have been welded in and require blending.
Many Thanks for your help on this one peeps

The smc by upol is carbon fibre and is mean more for plastic repairs i use a filler calles metal mix it is less pourious than normal filler and contains a high alluminium content then for general repair i usea good normal filler on of the upol rang cant remember which one im using at the moment will find out and post up what it is . I found it easier to apply smooth and rubs down really nice.
Its not upol easy sand 1 i found that stuff was too fluffy for some finer work

The majourity of the filling is going to be simply to blend in the new pannels aas well as fill in some quite big gaps where previous repairs have not alligned up very well.
i remeber asking and starting a topic on this a while back but i cant get the search engine to find it. I htink most peeps said that upol fantastic was the best. Just some on mentioned this SMC but if it is intended for fibre glass sounds like the fantastic is the stuff!
