Going to france soon, so i'll be driving on the other side. Do i need light covers to direct the lights or whatever they do, I've looked and it don't look like the lights are facing in any direction. I've looked at some online bits and carn't find where I can buy some, any help would be supurbe.

Any car accessory shop should have them...Halfords etc.
Two kinds are generally available - beam deflectors and beam blockers. The deflectors "bend" the relevent section of the headlight beam to the correct side for continental use, The blockers just mask off the relevent section to stop it dazzling continental drivers.
The deflectors will leave your lights brighter in theory, but whether they can be fitted to a lamp as cuved as a mini`s, I dont know. The blockers....well, just use black tape, thats all they are.

EDIT - im not certain this is even a mini lens, i found it online. I would say the bit I outlined in red is what needs masked off.
