How do Jodie

I havent seen ur mini im afraid which i no isnt helpful, however i do believe that on the DVLA website, you can type in a car reg and see if it is still on the road, SORN etc.

May narrow down ur search - iv never used it so im not sure how helpful this is but good luck finding it - hope its been kept well

it always takes a while as there are so many options for manufacturer....

The vehicle details for UED 488S are:

Date of Liability 01 09 2007
Date of First Registration 22 11 1977
Year of Manufacture 1977
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 998CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour BRONZE
Vehicle Type Approval null
The information contained on this page is correct at the time of enquiry.

doesnt tell you much i'm afraid, it's not on the road or SORN so it's either gone to the big scappy in the sky, being driven unlicensed or it's hidden away in someones garage.I'm not sure if you can pay to find out the location, i'm sure someone on here will know if you can...

Good luck

Marv

it looked mint when you had it!

People say that you can, it's called a request for information form...

I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't tell you though it's a breach of data protection. After all, you wouldn't want the DVLA to give out your name and address because someone wanted to know where your car was would you...

Unfortunately, they dont understand the minds of classic car owners! ah well...

Good luck anyway...

Cheers

No that means the tax ran out at the end of August last year. If it was SORN it would say so in the vehicle status, and the date of liability would be in the future...

There was a guy on here a while ago who offered a reward for help (legally) in finding his first mini, after loads of hard work and about 6 months he tracked it down, sadly it had been stripped and turned into a grass racer but it shows it can be done if your willing to put in the effort.

A big thank you to everyone, i do miss the little guy but im getting another one soon :D
He was in quite good nick but the drivers door had been replaced at some time as it was aqua under the interior door panel and was quite rusty at the bottom:(
Apart from that he was incredibly solid having been rustproofed from new i understand the original owner had a little bump in the 80,s hence the door being replaced.
anyway thank for you help
