Tuesday morning, Nightflier and I decided to have a quick look at eBay and found this little fella!

By 10 am, I had rung the seller and got some more information about the car. By the afternoon, Kris and I were on our way down to see the car! The only problem being that it was near Portsmouth!

130 miles later, we arrived at the seller's house and had a good look around the car.


The GT comes with a few spares, the original Denovo RunFlat tyres, a complete interior and the original bill of sale!

The GT needs some work doing to it, as it hasn't been on the road for about 6 years!


So, after a chat about the work and finances, and the overall selling price of the car, we decided to ring the vendor back and put in an offer £100 short of his ideal price! :angel:

Nice one, Jean. He looks familiar! :angel: (I posted about YMPTY-the-Numpty a while back....feel free to rename him! :dontgetit: ).

He was on ebay with no engine...niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice GT

He has lovely optional extras - twin rear fogs & wiper.

Is his shell as stonking as it looks in the pics?

Nice purchase guys!!! Another 1275 GT added to the TMF gang top stuff!!!!! :angel:

Ooh, Juju! Nice find, heheh! :angel:

It did sell back then, but the buyer wanted a refund on his travelling fees to go and pick it up! He was from the Isle of Wight! :crazy: So that all fell through. Then it was put on again and the winner messed him about :angel:

Then Kris bought it! :angel:


There is no engine at the moment, but that doesn't matter so much - Kris has a genuine 1275GT Silverseal engine to go in it! :crazy:

The bodywork isn't too bad - a few places where it needs some attention and some welding. The drivers side floorpan needs replacing as it has a rather large hole :( And needs a patch to the sill.

One thing that it didn't mention in the advert though was the doors - They're in a bad way and need re-skinning :)


Nipper is going to be kept at my house, but he's Kris' really :P


Plan is to go totally original :wub:

Oh - and I'm sure Kris won't mind me telling you the price we managed to get it for, in the end......
