you can, but also remember that if your car is newer than a certain year ( can't remember of top of head ) you will need the ones with the head restraint...

i have a 1978 1275gt n the seats dont have headrests will that make a difference ? cheers

You dont need headrests before 1986 i think so you'll be fine without.
