Cheers mate, hope to have it done by the beginning of may, I`m getting there slowly. Engine still is not in and with it being an A+ engine it is throwing up a few issues as I`m trying to use bits of a standard A 998. Will hopefully get it in the car in a couple of weeks once I`ve got a few bits from Bingley.

Cheers Ben, expensive day for you as well on sunday then ;D

Small update, I`ve been busy cleaning and painting the front hub assemblies, decided to change the cv boots while I can now so I`ve split everything, will be able to put them together next week.

I forgot to take a photo of the side I`ve been painting but this is the other side:

5 bhp added with red calipers :D

I also took the cowling off the radiator and gave it all a clean and flush out then a lick of paint, back together:

I`m going have to have a look at the fan as there is a breather on the crank case that seems to catch the fan, I`m going to pack it out a little then fit the rad and make sure it doesn't catch, if it does then I`ll have to do something with the breather itself.

Cheers for looking

Dave

You need to create an account on photobucket then upload them to there and then copy the IMG code into your post.

Major update time, had a very productive day today after the cold weather has halted progress for the past couple of weeks.

Got it in using a block and tackle and some decent rope as we haven`t got any proper lifting eyes. Worked a treat though and lined up pretty well.

Will have another day at it tomorrow and then with my shifts I`ll get the afternoons to work on it next week, exciting times :D

Thanks for the comments guys :proud:

Made a bit more progress this week, although I`ve had to order a new circlip for one of the cv joints as I bent it trying to get it all back together >_<

I`ve now got the rad fully bolted in the the bottom hose on, thermostat housing and engine steady plate on. Also today I put the alternator and belt on as well as the top rad hose. Hoping for some good progress over the weekend.
