A little bit of an update.

The engine bay is now looking a bit better with the brake servo and master cylinder on and connected up, also got the twin carbs on.

Thank you for the comments, I am very pleased with it so far and hopefully I`m very near the end now, going to see what we can get done between now and over easter.

The wheels are 12 x 6.

Got a bit done today, managed to sort the routing of the battery cable out and got enough in the boot now. Then put fluid in the clutch cylinders and set it all up, that was a mad moment pouring fluid into it :D

I then set to sorting the fog light out, holes are now drilled just wants fitting tomorrow, to make sure it was looking ok I put the bumper on:

Hopefully get the exhaust on tomorrow if all goes to plan.

Thanks for looking

Got the exhaust on today, took a bit of fiddling round to get it away from the floor pan on the near side for some reason but we got there in the end. Hopefully more updates in the week and looking forward to getting lots done next weekend.

Thanks, I bought a fitting kit with the exhaust as all of the stuff that came off was very rusty.

Hi Andrew, I bought a Maniflow twin box standard bore exhaust, I got this fitting kit http://www.minisport...HBST400FIT.html but I only needed two rubber bobbins, the 48mm clamps and the rubber mounting block that goes on the rear subframe. I had to drill a new hole in the subframe for the rubber bobbins in the middle but other than that it went on fine.

My new door card set has arrived and looks really good, I`ll put a picture up later, time to crack on and see what I can get done.

Got a fair bit done this afternoon, got the front carpets in with the gear stick gaiter on, sorry for the poor picture, I will get some better ones with my camera tomorrow.

New door card set from Optimise Automotive, really impressed with them.

We got the heater in as well today so the plan for tomorrow afternoon is the get all the pipes connected to that and then get the steering column and seats in, can`t quite believe how quickly its coming together now :teehee:

Cheers

Lovely work Dave, feel as though you've overtaken me now by a long shot with the carpet in!!!! I'll be leaving the carpet out for a bit anyways to ensure there's no water leaks, like stevede did on here.

So what exactly have you got left to do now then?

Really impressive build, I look forward to seeing it at a few shows hopefully!

Cheers
Chris

Thanks Chris, I don`t know about overtaking you, we just seem to be doing things in a different order. Ah thats a good idea with the carpet, it was ok to put it just a pain with the gearstick gaiter.

I`ve still got a fair bit to do but the list is getting smaller, off the top of my head I`ve got:

Steering column
Seats
Windows
Fog light
Interior light
Front lights, grille and bumper
Bleed brakes
Dizzy and leads on
Doors need finishing and putting on

Looking forward top seeing yours too mate, how are you getting on with it? Not ling before Himley now.

Cheers

Dave
